Our Structural Engineer carries out inspections of physical assets, such as concrete building structures, suspended floors, bridges, culverts, roads, HVAC equipment and anything else which is then used to decide on preventative maintenance or remedial work to preserve an asset's value and extend its useful life. Application of a risk matrix based on consequence and likelihood as set out in standards such as AS4360 is also followed.

Asset condition assessments can also involve continued monitoring of assets periodically, and using the data collected from those inspections to determine the condition of each asset. The analysis of detailed inspection data may show that an asset requires preventative maintenance in order to ensure that the asset meets the expected useful life, thus insuring the continued capability of the asset.
